“When you shift your perspective, stories, meanings, feelings and even behaviors change.”
Meaning as a Derivative of Perspective
Consider a bad breakup: initially, it feels devastating; years later, it may become a source of amusement. Ha!
Perspective » Meaning » Feelings » Behaviors
Enter: Response-Ability
We can't always control what happens to us, but we can almost always choose how we respond. This is known as "response-ability." Recall Stimulus vs Response a couple weeks ago.
Humans are unique in that they are the only creatures that can step outside of their Behavior Echo-System and observe their stories/thinking, behaviors/habits/skills, and emotions and feelings.
There isn’t another creature on earth, as far as we know, that can do that!
Thus, emotionally mature individuals (most of the time) have the ability to respond rather than just react.
By simply shifting our perspective, we can alter the internal narrative and even transform the meaning of traumatic events.
P.S.: If you struggle with concentration and focus and are looking to move the needle on your next creative endeavor, you may be interested in my upcoming accountability group “Concentration Accelerator” – an accountability “camp” (online portal) lead by me to improve concentration, focus and produce real momentum toward your next creative endeavor.

»Plan. Act. Record and Reassess. (You are not a rodent* ; )
*If you don’t understand the ‘rodent’ reference, it’s related to the famed “Habit Loop” and “Cue, Routine, and Reward” (C.R.R.), which unfortunately overemphasizes a very limited theory on the science of habit development because it’s based solely upon the study of rodents. Humans (YOU) possess choice, intention, and reflection; rodents do not. Thus, P.A.R.R. (Plan, Act, Record, and Reassess) was introduced and originally published in The Habit Factor® (2010). ☝️ 🙌🏽 🤙 🙏
